Our Story
I founded Valores Consulting LLC because I saw a pattern in healthcare I couldn’t ignore: people were not being fully seen, and systems were failing them.
Across my career in Canada, the USA, India, South Africa, and Australia, I worked on projects from pain research and virtual care projects to neuro rehabilitation and product design (AI & Durable Medical Equipment). These experiences gave me a global view of how care is delivered — and how often it falls short. I saw patients waiting months for treatment. Others paid devastating costs or traveled thousands of miles for care that should have been accessible at home. Too often, they were treated as diagnoses instead of whole people.
I also worked with organizations under pressure — from the cracks exposed by COVID-19 to today’s challenges of AI, policy changes, workforce shortages, and employee burnout. I realized they needed more than quick fixes — they needed strategies rooted in values and designed with people in mind.
As an occupational therapist, I know life is built around meaningful occupations — the work, leisure, and self-care that give us purpose. From children taking their first steps to employees returning to work after injury, I’ve seen how dignity and independence are restored through care that values the whole person.
That’s why I created Valores. A company whose very name means value — strength, worth, and courage. Our mission is simple: Guide Care with Values and Lead with Principles.
